Bodyboarding hype.. HELL yes.

Almost summer, and almost time to do some bodyboarding. I for one am extremely pumped. Anyone around NS partake? i do more stand-up than anything else but do some prone from time to time.

Some dope videos to show off a dope sport for those of you who are undoubtedly thinking "what like those fucking foam things that 8 year olds ride?"

I watched them both, it looks like alot of fun. The second one had some pretty crazy crashes. It would be so scary seeing that wave crash on top of you

and those things hurt like hell. even a smaller 8-10 foot swell can hurt really bad.

unfortunately i dont get to do it often because i dont live on the coast, but i do it when i'm in hawaii

I prefer surfing, but man I really wish I lived somewhere with skiing and waves, I had so much fun surfing in Costa Rica. Surfing is the only sport that compares to the fun of skiing for me.

Fuck yeah man im with you on body boarding although im on the east coast so its a little hard to get out a bunch. But its real fun, sometimes i ditch the board though and just body surf. Body surfing with fins is so damn fun.

this is sick im a surfer and a bodu boarder theyre both dope as long as you dont blow i.e. the little 8 yearolds out in the line up snaking you on their body boards. OP you getting pitched on these mofuckahs or what? wheres your home break?

some of my best memories are body boarding at zuma and point dume. i've got a morey mach 7 and a wave rebel, which is my favorite board ever.

Hahah i wish i could ride the waves in these vids. I've got a place at the beach in delaware and ride all up and down the beachs there. Usually Fenwick, or ocean city. We get some decent waves from time to time surprisingly enough. Big swells after storms can throw out some 10'-15' or so waves if we're lucky hahah, but it usually sits around 5 or 6 foot super fun little stuff.

To everyone whos posted and rides: what kinda boards you guys got? and whats your riding style?

I cant say i've done anything even remotely as cool as this. But I have taken a couple of boogy boards to our local river, (it has class 4 rapids) and surfed a few holes. It was pretty sick.

I think you'd be very very surprised hahaha, and imo drop-knee and especially standup take alot more skill than prone does, with balancing and getting up on such a little board and such

I haven't sponged since I started to get good at surfing, but some of my first days in bigger waves were on a bodyboard. It was fun as fuuuck! Sweet to watch those videos, I've been getting hyped to get back out in the ocean when there are waves around here. Still got my BZ board and churchills hangin round the garage.

And no matter what you're battling giant waves. For all those saying this is lame, I would love to see you trying to swim in the ocean when the swells really pick up. Doesn't matter what you ride, you'll get trashed.

looks like hell of a fun. unfortunately i live in finland, no higher waves than 2 feet..
and anyways highest wave ive EVER seen was abroad, and it was like 5 feet -_-

I have been surfing a lot lately, since its almost summer here in cali, not that it looks like it, Its raining and 45'f.. but these vids are super sick.. Spongin is how i started and its still super fun.

Ill bump this back up haha. Yeah it takes some skill i mean with waves that big what do surfers do? They get tubular! haha but it's not like theyre slashing up waves that heavy or big. Unfortunately i haven't been able to get out that much cuz the waves have blow cock all summer in ri and the beach has been even worse but im hoping some hurricanes will come in sometime soon

I go to Hampton beach when the break is good, I usually go with a friend who has a surfboard, so we trade off. Last week I caught a couple barrels during a thunderstorm, it was gnar.

watching those guys drop into Teahupoo in the first vid was just retarted. The wave in the second vid is heavy, but there is nothing like Teahupoo. Shit breaks onto bare reef sometimes
