Well at least i think it is. I was reading threads on jibberish stuff and we say stuff like "peices" and i think it sounds like artwork. Please don't hate, just thought i would share. (i love jibberish stuff so i am not saying shit)
Thats jiberish's whole marketing plan really, make it seem exclusive and rare. Likening it to art is just part of how they get away with over charging like a bitch
obviously none of you bitching about jiberish have any clue about steetwear. if you are complaining about the designs and prices of jiberish, look at supreme. some of their stuff is shit you could buy at tj maxx, and yet a button up is 110 dollars. its about the brand, as bad as it is to say. and yes, im sure your two year old cousin could have drawn that and put it on a sweatshirt, but heres the thing: HE DIDNT.
Ahahahaha, no. My parents would never pay $80 for a hoodie for me. I've been buying nearly all my cloths since last year and will continue to do so with the job I have.
meh I was disappointed with my jiberish. won't be buying from them again. but I guess a lot of people think they produce a quality product so more power to them
For all the raw materials to make a hoodie it is around 50$ (not in bulk) And then they add the zipper which is super hard, and then they put graphics on it, it is definetly worth the money, they make maybe 10-15$ off of each hoodie, try making your own hoodie it will show you how much work it takes
i dont know why but it bothers me so much when people say "piece" when referring to their Jiberish. Sounds so fucking pretentious like its a hoodie or a shirt not an antiquity

Are you serious? Jiberish is mass produced and screen printed in China. Jiberish is nothing special - the only thing that differentiates it from the hoodies bought at Walmart is that Tom Wallisch wears them, and there are swarms of little kids who don't understand the value of money propping them up.
The raw materials cost around $10, and the zipper is NOT hard to put on - they are produced in bulk with industrial machinery - there is no skill or care in it. Labour costs in China are low too. So Jiberish is making a hell of a lot more than $10 dollars matey. You're being robbed blind.
haha no. i don't know what clothes you are accustomed to buying, but an average price for a quality hoodie is closer to $50-60. the reason why jiberish can charge so much is because of supply and demand. their prices don't necessarily correlate to the quality of their apparel.
also, i have a few hoodies/crewnecks from two years ago, and the colors on many of the "pieces" has faded a lot. i didnt buy any jiberish this year. if i buy anything next year it will be because of the look, not the overall quality of the product
At it's core, Jiberish is a clothing brand that plays on kids' desire to be like their idol. And it is a fantastic business model no doubt, I have nothing but praise for your marketing strategy. As the old adage goes, "Put Tom Wallisch in it, and they will come".
But Jiberish is just like every other mainstream clothing manufacturer - mass produced, imported from China, sold at a huge mark up.
Jiberish over prices for sure. Bought a brand new Crew neck first time buying jiberish. It was missing stiching and fell apart in a matter of days. The jiberish i have traded with friends theres something wrong with every piece. Yet my old sweatshirt that cost 30 bucks from Getboards is in fine shape. Its not quality if its rare to find a sweatshirt over 2 years old that isnt trashed.
I'm pretty sure you're the same kid who pops up in every thread about Jiberish with this same argument, and you're claims have already been replied to previously, but here goes..
All of our clothing, including tees, is cut & sew. We do not print on blanks. Cut & sew means that all of our stuff is made to our specifications. Instead of printing on a Hanes Beefy T, or a Gildan sweatshirt, We go to a pattern maker who creates a silhouette to our specifications. Our manufacturer then takes those patterns, cuts fabric, and sews the fabric using those patterns, in our case, slimmer and taller tees, and slimmer and taller hoodies with our ribbing specifications, etc.
As far as the production run of our designs, we make 300 MAX of a design, often times much less. This means fabric cannot be purchased in bulk, which increases costs, and labor costs also increase, as the people cutting and sewing can't drone on mindlessly all day, as they have to change what they are doing really quickly. Even finding a manufacturer that will accept minimums of around 300 is a near impossible task.
Each of our designs has a ton of thought and time behind it from one of our designers. These aren't random scribbles tossed together, but thought out and well executed ideas from talented artists.
Simply stated, Jiberish isn't mass produced and sold at a huge mark up. It is a labor of love. If the owners (you mentioned Pete) were in it for the money, they'd have been out of this game a long time ago.
