Simon Dumont's broken halfpipe idea.

In the mind of Simon Dumont an idea has been germinating for about 6 years and finally today it came to fruition and completion. With the support of Red Bull, Snow Park Technologies and Squaw Valley this halfpipe was beyond even what those involved had imagined. Obviously you'll be seeing a lot of coverage in Freeskier and in Poorboyz Productions next movie over the next few months.

In the meantime, here are a few teaser shots to wet you appetite. Special thanks go out to Simon for allowing us to shoot and to everyone involved from Red Bull, Snow Park Technologies, Squaw and Poorboyz.

Mike (Mack Dawg) is definitely still filming; he has been shooting a lot of commercial stuff lately and has been working on the pilot for "Snow Soldiers", a Discovery Channel show based around all aspects of the Snow Park Technologies crew. Its gonna be pretty freakin sweet! It's definitely a really cool concept for a reality TV show, that I believe should appeal to the general public as well as the ski and snowboard communities.

Another relevant and fun fact, Kurt Heine was at the PBP Keystone shoot. He was shooting with Andreas Wiig and one other rider at the same time and stopped by to shoot for fun while the PBP crew was sessioning that big 'ole jump!

its not so much channel gaps...as he has only 30ft sections to take off and land...with a good 20ft in between them...placed only in certain spots. He pretty much needs to hit the whole thing perfect to get down, so yeah you could say "its only channel gaps" which level 1 has done before, but a better comparison would be like doing running the 100 meter dash suspended 20ft above the ground and you can only step on the tiles that are placed at intervals the whole way.
