I'm about 5 weeks out of surgery at this point.
I had a severely deviated septum that was blocking my right passage by about 90%.
Consequently, this made breathing through my nose extremely difficult, effected speech slightly etc.. not much fun living your entire life like that (especially when you're active etc)
My advice, it is 100% worth it.
6 days after my surgery, my splint off and I was out living normally.
I am a super queasy person myself, and obviously I had issues with somebody operating on my face.
Once you're over that, recovery is quite painless (save slight discomfort.)
My bruising was mostly gone 3 days post-op, and swelling shortly after.
I was on painkillers for 2 days post.
your nose will remain slightly visibly swollen (though you'd be the only one to notice) for a few months after (but by 4 weeks, about 90% of the swelling is gone). and you just need to be careful not to hit it etc. common sense.
hope this helps.
