Cool stuff buttttt quite a bit like Peter Lik. Everything from the website, to the layout, to the shooting style, to even exact copies of his photographs. Tell your bro to maybe re-think those things, it's kind of sketchy.

Haha he will love... hate that comment. I understand the site, they are actually very much alike. But there is something called stock photography. There is so many places on this Earth that you can photograph and look good. ALL professional photographers have the same picture. Maybe different lighting or timing but still, the exact same picture. Then along with these, they have their own pictures that they find.

I completely understand where you are coming from, but the website copy is really jarring to me. Maybe it's just me? But my reaction when I saw the site I was like "wait is this that guy.." then after further inspection I realized it wasn't, which honestly made me think less of your bros work/site/etc.

Also, not trying to be the hypocrite over here I know there are probably thousands of people with the same website layout as I do, but if your bro is so successful he should revamp his site and create his own image, not take his competitors.

Yeah to me it was at first too. But i just talked to my brother and he explained how all big photographers do not design their own websites, it is too much time. So instead, they go through a company. My brother used a compnay called "Photoshelter" which also happens to be the one that Peter Lik uses. So therefore my brother did not copy anything that Peter Lik did. Not trying to have a rude tone, but i was just saying haha.

Nothing, everyone has opinions. They have two totally different styles. Hers is like a high schoolers whose taking pictures for their photo class, my brothers is like something you would buy to hang on your wall at home. No offense, just saying.

really hyping the bro here eh? dont belittle artistic aesthetics. your brother shoots commercial stock. its a product, there is no idea behind it besides making money. and it has a particular aesthetic... glossy, high saturation, almost romantic (in the classical sense) and of recognizable material. i think her work has an Ed Ruscha or Roy Arden style to it. both are highly respected artists. that's where i'm coming from... not high school.

Well he is my "bro." He shoots commercial stalk, but also what else he enjoys taking photos of. Like I said, all landscape artist have the typical photos in addition to all their own. The idea behind it is making money but even more enjoying his favorite thing. He loves what he does and does it because he loves it. He sells them to make enough money to continue on with his number one passion. I think her pictures are cool, they're a change from the norm. But also, do you consider taking a standard picture of two trash cans that say "Pizza boxes" on them talented? I can go grab a camera from my room, walk down the street, and take that exact same picture, and most likely even a better one.

I'm not hyping him up at all, I am simply stating facts. If I was hyping him up Id be saying things like his photos are best, no one can beat him. Clearly I am not doing that. Truly you cannot compare Michelle and my brother because it is two totally different styles of photography. And cool story bro, right on for you. Its truly your opinion, yes her shots have character but are you saying my brothers don't? Everyone is different and artistic in their own way.

let me show you how to bridge the gap: this guy does amazing work with a style of his own and still shoots for major corporations... making money, keeping soul. i'm not trying to trash on you or your brother either, i just feel like maybe your understanding of photography could be a little broader...
