I've made a 10 foot aluminum rail this winter, and used it extensively. It had never been waxed since I made it, but because of water and ice from the winter, it was slippery enough. However, as summer comes and plans for a summer set up are being made, I think I am going to have problems with sliding. What is a good thing to use to wax it? The cheeper the better. I just need it to be slick.
