This is scary, I just came up with this statistic myself. Bush invaded Iraq against the will of the rest of the planet. on false pretenses. he is spending like billlions a week on this. thats something around, billions, that, had we not gone to Iraq, would be spent elsewhere. so my statistic is = billions per week in Iraq. does anyone else see a problem wtih this? (I tried to make this as simple as possible) hahahaha. It just sucks to be america right now. Every other country realizes the proper way to deal with a rogue nation that is not following guidelines, use the UN, impose sanctions, and, if necessary, invade with a coalition force that has been approved by the rest of the world. That's the way it was established years ago with the formation fo the world and the UN. To have it any other way is dangerous as it could give a certain country too much power. So while the rest of the world (for the most part) abides by the laws we all voted to set up, the US and Bush by passed them to attack a weak country on totally false pretenses. There, that's pretty straight forward. Now if you still support bush after something that basic, well..don't vote.

That is such a misleading 'statistic.' The billions that we are spending over there account for the money and bonuses that we are paying our troops which actually fuels spending driving the economy over here. Additionally, the government contracts the building of transportation vehicles, artillary, clothing, equipment, and all of the other supplies in the US that troops need over there. It is proven that war helps the economy in every era we have seen. And as far as that stupid ass sanctions comment, we have been trying that shit for 14 years, before some of these kids were born and Saddam continued to tool with inspectors over and over again. He was removed from power twice and chose to ignore our and every other UN country's demands for him to step down. And to the other comment about putting the money into homeland security....You have not idea how many plots the government has foiled that would have been disasterous. There is no way to protect the country more than it is, I don't care what anyone says, our security is insane. As the world leaderand most powerful country, it is our responsiblity to protect the rest of the free world from terrorists by going out and getting them. If France wants to bitch about it, fine, their food sucks and they are the most arrogant fucks I have ever come across while traveling anyways. The quote is over used, but it is for the greater good.
