So i have had 2 different hard drives crash on me in the past 2 weeks and i lost all the videos and photos i have ever taken. Mostly, i want to get all my footage back from this season because thats all i had that hasnt already been edited. However, i was given a $1200 minimum fee if i sent my external somewhere to get the footage recovered. Does anyone know any place i cheaper than that? I'm sure this must have happened to someone on here before

Hey same thing hapened to me. I took a trip to japan this winter we had 2 cameras in our crew, put 60Gb of video onto my hard drive and when i got home it died and we lost it all our. I got the same thing, min a grand to get it back, i don't have that much spare cash at the moment.

yeah i read about the freezer thing too. when i talked to a data recovery company in the the town near where i live, they said not to keep trying to use it beacause i could cause further damage.
I might try the freezer but and see if it works.
