alright. im torn between skis.
i know i want something between 85-100mm waist, 170-180cm in length. ive previously skied pocket rockets, big troubles, and lords within those requirements.
seems like almost every ski with a 90+ mm waist now has some sort of rocker or early tip/tail rise.
only ski ive been on with any sort of rocker is the lord, however it is only 210mm on the tip, hardly a rocker, and to be dead honest i didnt notice much of a difference.
i do most of my skiing in ontario, 40cm is considered mind blowing. i have anthems to take care of my park needs. so i am looking for something all-mountain specific. crud, tree's, groomers, occasional 20-30cm snowfall "pow" if you will.
occasionally i hit up the real east-coast with annual and sometimes multiple trips to quebec and vermont resorts, and normally take a annual trip out west to do some real skiing.
im 5'8, about a buck75lbs, pretty good skier if i may toot my own horn, like to giver pretty hard.
i prefer softer more jibby skis then stiff ass planks.
so, my question to you newschoolers, is what skis should i buy? ive done alot of reasearch and im going to buy off-season for its financial perks.
im really like the rossignol s3, probably my number one pick right meow.
also digging the chronic blend, although i cant find anything on exactly how much rocker it has tip and tail, even the line website says 15mm tail rocker, which makes no fucking sense to me, so i hope its a typo on their part.
do i really need a rockered ski for where and how i ski? or do the s3 and blend have little enough rocker that i would be fine, its not like either of them are hellbent bent.
any suggestions anyone? im struggling with this one
