Color VS Magic Bullet Looks

Are there any Color users in M&A? Seems like a lot of people are using MBL these days (myself included), but I've also seen some videos graded with Color, and they look really, really, really good. Is Color more professional? Is it more difficult? Is it a better tool for the job?

as far as I'm aware (I use MBL) MBL is easier, but color you can customize more in certain aspects.

I use Color. Tried MBL a while ago and it seemed to be much more forgiving of an interface. After learning a bit about Color (the application), it seems to be much more extensive than Looks. I think once you get beyond the intimidating interface, Color can provide a LOT more in grading.

That being said, I haven't used Looks to any great extent whatsoever.

Honestly, i couldnt get mbl to work on my computer, so i started using color, and haven't looked back

MBL and Color isnt a very good comparison. A better comparison would be Color and Red Giants Colorista

color had a learning curve that will seriously fuck you up. Magic bullet looks is child's play compared to that shit.

Looks is pretty much just giving you presets to give your footage a certain look, with limited controls. Colorista and Color are both professional and high end color correctors where you built the look you want for you footage from scratch with tons of control.

Not to thread jack but does one or the other have a faster render time? I know that's a factor for me when adding filters

word. although i will say, you don't have to use a preset with looks. you can build a look from the tools, although i would assume it's just not as complex as Color.
