Replying to For all you 'need to make a rail' punks

Okay first off, this should be the thread to end all rail plan threads. If you can some how get the metal they use on street signs. The metal with the wholes in it, then you are set. When you get that you just take a skill saw and cut out the bottom a square in the bottom of the rail where u want your support to be. It should be big enough so that the peice you cut off the end will be able to fit in it. Once you cut it out then you take off how ever much you want on the ends to be your supports. You then put the peices in the holes and then place srews threw the bar where the holes will line up. You will have extra screw stiking out but you just cut that off with the skill saw. You should by now have the basic structure of the rail built. now you just need to figure out how to make supports on the bottom. you can get metal peices welded on our use wood. Its up to you.
