Rocky MTN Underground
Presents:
The Unofficial Golf League
Yes,that’s right, winter-sport-enthusiasts-who-think-they-can-golf, Rocky MountainUnderground is putting together an officially unofficial golf league. The tournament will be hosted at fivedifferent golf courses around the Front Range. The objective of the UGL(Unofficial Golf League) is to have a great time, and increase the sense ofcommunity within our industry, and play some golf! The UGL provides an opportunity to reach out to each of thesponsors’ fans in a community event. The League is adaptable to any size--fromtwo teams up to 500 or more.
How it Works
RMUhas selected five tour stops. Each stop will have a course fee of $45 or lessfor contestants.
AllSponsors will utilize their social media avenues to advertise the UGL and toinvite their fans to join in.
Contestantsregister independently for the UGL and each given course. On the appointed day, contestants playtheir round at the tee time they select.
Ontournament day, everyone will post scores on the Rocky Mountain Underground Facebookpage under their team name.
Prizeswill be awarded for best and worst scores, as well as for the best photo of theday.
Thelast tour stop is a final for the top ten teams! This will determine the overall champion for this year.
How to Become a Sponsor
The best part of the UGL is thatit exists in the world of social media. Simply put, there are no overhead fees!
Tobe a listed Sponsor on all printed and distributed advertisements for the UGL,you must donate product(s) to give away as prizes at the end of each tourstop. (i.e. t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, skis, snowboards, glasses, goggles, and any other swag that you seefit)
The Success of the UGL
Ourgoal for the UGL is to be marketed through Facebook, websites, Twitter, andword of mouth. It’s a great way tobring cross-pollination of customer bases.Thecompetitive nature among teams is encouraged and will contribute to the funatmosphere.
Asa sponsor the more you utilize social media to distribute the UGL and interactwith your customers, the bigger your rewards will be! We see the interaction with the customer base as priceless.
Rules
Anynumber of players can form a team, with up to four players per team. If youhave ten players you would form three teams. For example, “Golf Pros”, “GolfPros 1”, “Golf Pros 2”, and so on.
Eachteam picks a team name and plays under it for the entire season.
Atany stop new teams can join.
Teamsmust play the selected course on the appointed day.
Atthe end of the day, scores must reflect the total of four players. If a teamhas four players who shot 100, the team scores would be 400. If a teamonly has two players, the team must multiply the score by two. For example, if two players shoot100 each, the grand total for that team would be 400.
After theround, teams will post their scores on the shared Facebook post, whichwill go to all sponsors. Any interaction amongst teams is encouraged!
Tosign your team up, send an email to UGL@rockymountainunderground.com.Include your team name and the name of your team captain.
Enjoythe game, and may the best team win!
