Conditions at t-line

hi there, i'm trying to get up to timberline sometime in the next couple weeks but right now the noaa weather site is making it look like conditions are awful up there. is it really as bad as it looks right now? we'd be camping while we're up there so it would be sweet not to camp in the rain everyday... what's the deal?
