I have a problem. As the name of the thread might suggest, whenever I do any serious tail presses, I get shinbang or aggravate any shinbang that I already have. My boots fit perfectly, and my skis are anthems, so no problems with butteryness there. Am I doing it wrong? Any suggestions or tips?
Shin bang is a result of leaning back so tail presses are not the best idea when you have shin bang. Not much you can do but tighten you're boots, ice and not tail press.
No i dont think that your doing anything wrong. I have brand new Spk's and throughout a weekend of doing a lot of tail presses i get shin bang so i dont think that your doing anything wrong shin bang is just a result of doing a lot of tail presses thats my opinion
maybe.. be sure that your liner fit perfectly in your boots when you put your feet into..
And always clip your boots tighter than wide.. and be sure that your socks ( if you wear some long skiing socks ) are at full expension otherwise, it makes some plaice in your socks and the boots rubs durin a shock and this cause some extra shinbang..
Shit my bad I just realized I accidentally said tail press. I meant TAIL BUTTER. I get shinbang on presses too, but not as bad. Just restart the thread but insert butter instead of press

3. shove TW cable cover up ass (feels great)
4. while buttering you now have no shinbang and a great feeling anus

Well if you get shinbang from tailpresses you're doing it wrong, or your boots are too loose, but tailpresses, yes you will get shinbang unless your skis are super felxy
tailpresses/landing backseat gives you shin bang because your tibia is flexing over the back of your boot, causing the membrane on the outside of the bone to stretch and tear. Doing lots of heal walks and toe raises will strengthen your tibial muscles which will help prevent this from happening.
^^ Totally and when you do end up with shin bang get a ski pole or a rolling pin and roll it down your shin, only downwards, it'll hurt like hell when you do it but the next day it'll be better...
