skiings progression

with all of the new things skiers have been sticking in teh park and in the back country and on urban rails, where will skiing be in a few years. 2 years ago for someone to be able to do a 270 was crazy. now, people are sticking 810s to rails. where do you think skiing will be in 2 or 3 years?

Do i have to serve these canned peaces chilled?

SkiUnit, my thread had a different point then that. that was about skiing merging with snowboarding and videos, mine is more about the tricks and lines that skiers will be taking to the different sections of skiing.

Do i have to serve these canned peaces chilled?

I think in the next few years it is not going to be about what tricks can be thrown but where they can be thrown. Off huge cornices like in a lot of snowboarding stuff or in sweet little mini golf areas. Jeremy Jones does a backside 7 into a little chute in Shakedown and that just blew me away. And of coure landing switch in powder has a lot more progression ahead of it.

ah telestar, saving this thread (at least for the time being) from self-destructing in a mess of NS.com-typical-angst-asshole-testosterone-etc etc uselessness. I guess i agree with all that, more jibbers figuring out they need to learn how to ski a tough line outside the park, plus more 'fusion' type craziness like Candides cork 810 to rail. it sounds impossible, but sooner or later a (switch?) cork 7 off a 30 footer into a sick pow line will become as commonplace as a 270 on is now... or will it? who knows, thats the fun and excitement in an evolving progressive sport like freeskiing, waiting for and trying to imagine what the hell's gonna come next.

you got me wrong. what you have seen from this year is nothing as compared to what you will see next year. there is so many people killing it, that things are going to be pushed so much this next year, that maybe we begin to reach that little thing called the plateau. powder has much exploring to do.........

what about those that have already learned to use the edges? and those who have once pole planted. been there done that, now lets move on. or we could just go back to doing daffies and rocket airs

Yah Alev, that made sense seeing that a good chunk of pros last season showed they can throw a switch cork 900 in the park, then ride into the backcountry and throw a switch 540 off a 20ft cliff.
