Pretty bored right now so I was just wondering what are some of the worst injuries you guys have had and how they happened.
I'll start even though my injuries are pretty minor. I have broken 3 toes(big one, second biggest, and second smallest) one of which has been broken twice(the big one). Three of the four times I broke my toes were from soccer and the other time I was skimboarding and broke my toe after I fell into the ocean.
My list is way too long. My current one took place on 5/6/11.
I shattered my patella at Windell's. Now I have 6 pins and quite a bit of wiring holding it all together. My next surgery is in 3 months to get it all out. I'm hoping to be back to my home in Welches by next November, because being forced to move home and give up my independence, has really been hard for me.
Man, what a way to say good-bye to the greatest place on Earth right before the sun was finally about to show up. ='(
3 concussions soccer/skiing
2 broken ankles same ankle twice in 6 months playing soccer
2 broken thumbs 1 fell out of bed 1 slipped on some ice
1 torn acl soccer
1 torn meniscus soccer
1 spiral fracture of my humerous (gay as AIDS) Kawasaki mule accident
degenerative arthritus in my knee with the tears
but the worst pain by far is tearing the muscles in my lower back playing soccer 10 years ago and it still flairs up
Only had
two big injuries in my life,
The worst one happened when I was 11, I was playing with a friend, and all was
fine until he throwed a piece of gravel tile the size of a stack of 3/4 dvd
boxes, through a large bush. And little did he know I was standing right behind
it, the piece of tile struck me straight in my eye and another sharp edge cut
open the skin right below my eye. Due to that laceration I was bleeding like
hell, the white shirt I wore was almost completely red.
When I got to the
hospital there were five docs looking at my eye and discussing like crazy. What
is the result of this accident? I have lost a lot of vision in my left up to
the point where I am 1% handicapped and in the first 2 years my sense of depth
was fucked up, it sometimes still is. I was scouted for one of the top field
hockey teams in my country but due to my poor vision, I had to give up on that.
In addition, the other injury was a major concussion, which I received after
the most embarrassing fall of my life. 6 years ago, I was really into Parkour,
Freerunning and Tricking. There was this dumpster (pic of similar one below) and
I wanted to do a gainer (Backflip with forward motion) off it but suddenly my
foot slipped and instead of being awesome I slammed the rear of my head into
that solid steel beam, I bounced off and then my forehead slammed against the
concrete pavement.
I was unconscious for around 3 minutes, woke-up and became unconscious in the
ambulance again.
I have no memory of all of this ever happening, I had to hear it from my
friends.
This accident has left me with an HUGE mental block for big jumps and inverted
tricks in any sport. OH and after 6 years my blood is still visible on the dumpsters steel beam.

1) My brother shot me on the eyeball with a paintball gun from 15 feet (Thought it was empty and he could scare me with the sound; Fail) Paint drained out of my eye overnight. That was the worst, thought i was going to lose my vision.
2) Hit in the eye and temple with a pitching wedge
3) smashed my face on the trampoline frame after attempting a 1440
4) landed on my thigh on a box. huge muscle bruise. I couldn't get any crutches so i had to walk with little bending my leg for three weeks. Stairs were a bitch.
5) And I'm double jointed in my fingers wrists shoulders toes etc. so things just tend to pop out of place.
broke my anckle, fell down the stairs.
got a nail launched in my leg it was in the lawn while i was cutting it.
