What is your budget? How much money can you spend right away, and do you think you can get more money to invest in the future? my budget right now is around $500-$800. i can get money in the future, but dont realy watn to spend more than $800
What experience do you already have with cameras? Have you ever even used one before? Have you helped your friend out with his camera? Have you owned your own? i realy dont have any experience with DSLRS. ive been doing a lot of research and sort of know the basics of photography/film making but need a lot more experience. i have never spent time using a DSLR.
What gear, if any, do you currently have? (tripod, old camera lenses, mics, etc) i have a tripod and thats about it. ive been using a gopro for little edits (i know a gopro is completely different than a dslr)
What are you planning to shoot and how do you want to use your camera? Are you going to use this with the sole purpose of shooting skiing? or do you think you might try other stuff as well (movies, documentaries, short films, etc) as of right now i want to shoot anything. im realy open to things to do right now. i want to film skiing and i also want to take photos. i do see my self branching out from just filming skiing.
Do you want a camera that you can hand to your friends, that could or could not have film experience, and let them shoot you? or will you be doing all the filming? a camera that i could hand to my friends would be a big plus. it would make the whole fiming experience much more fun in my opinion.
What computer do you currently have/use to edit (if not currently editing, what would you most likely use)? If you can provide specifics, such as hard drive space, RAM, processor size, that would be great. i have a dell inspiron 530. its not that great of a computer but i cant afford to go buy another one. it has 4 gb of memory.
What program do you currently edit on? How familiar are you with it (1- just learning; 10- I can make tutorials and know the keyboard layout) i only use windows movie maker, but want to get abode premiere pro. i have experience with adobe. i am like an 9 with movie maker. theres realy nothing to learn
