garage def has its place in the mess of sounds that is dubstep... if you wanna split hairs dubstep is produced at 140 usually in two four, the high tempo can be compensated for by spacing out the kicks and snares further in the measures. there is alot reggae influence in the way bass is applied to the drum pattern. its not that drum and bass didnt influence dubstep, look at breakage or any of the other producers who started with fuckin killer d and b and progressed to making dubstep. D and B and dubstep just arent that similar other than the kick snare patterns, d&b is wayy faster and usually made around 85 bpm... people want to say some musicians arent real djs because they premix things.. i think what people dont realize is every dj is different. some people can blend hip hop and scratch all day some people can spin the dirtiest drum and bass on the planet, some can pump up 10,000 people with filthy bass drops and poppy samples, others just like to go home lock the door smoke a bong and zone out by mixing the music they like to hear with other music they like to hear.. even if theyre dancing around their laptop triggering mixes they made a year ago, if they are having a good time, showing other people amazing music and not bein a genre claiming, snot nosed little bitch who ate molly once... thats fuckin whats up
i dont know about this embed shit but hears some cool tunes.. some grime, some future garage, some other funky shit...
