good computers for cheap

build your own. buy all the parts seperate then put it together yourself. i saved about 600 doing it that way.

yeah building your own is the way to go, but everything has to be in tight but not too tight or you'll crack it and break everything.

Ya definitely build your own, you can build a computer for like 1200 dollars that is equal to a dell that costs 2500. Newegg has everything you wioll need at pretty decent prices, for 700 dollars you will probably be able to build something good.

Buy from NCIX.com. It's cheaper than that above site (from what I've seen) and I know it's reliable because I bought my comp from there.

I paid $750 Canadian with tax and shipping for my setup, if I bought it from a computer company it woulda cost me probably $1,200 Canadian or so. That's with a monitor. Not to mention when buying from a company like Dell or Gateway, the software they give you has the OS on it but since you don't have the actual XP discs you miss out when it comes to installing hardware & stuff. On my old gateway (P4 1.7ghz) I couldn't install firewire, took like a day to install my scanner. Couldn't install my digital camera. But with my new comp, all I had to do was plug it in, put in the CD and it installed no prob. The firewire was just plug & play, whereas 6 months of trying on my old comp I couldn't get the bastard to work.
