Replying to Snowmobiling tips/help? +K

So I'm looking at getting a snowmobile for the PNW and for when I got to college (thinkin about going to school in Utah) in a year or so. Also, I finally have enough money (about 5 grand) to get myself a car.

I have several questions:

 -how hard is it to drive with a open-trailer in the snow? I'm trying to decide whether or not to get a truck. On one hand the truck will be perfect for hauling around a snowmobile (in the bed), but it will get terrible MPG, and wont be worth it when im not snowmobiling. On the other hand, a subaru outback/wrx will get good gas mileage, but have like 0 towing capacity and may suck to drive with a trailer.

-also, does anyone know if there are good sledding spots in the PNW? I'm mostly looking at a sled for Utah, but  I want to use it here in Washington too. When im in Washington will I not want to sled much?

-does anyone have any experience sledding in the BC and then skiing? any tips or something?
