Snowmobiling tips/help? +K

So I'm looking at getting a snowmobile for the PNW and for when I got to college (thinkin about going to school in Utah) in a year or so. Also, I finally have enough money (about 5 grand) to get myself a car.
I have several questions:
-how hard is it to drive with a open-trailer in the snow? I'm trying to decide whether or not to get a truck. On one hand the truck will be perfect for hauling around a snowmobile (in the bed), but it will get terrible MPG, and wont be worth it when im not snowmobiling. On the other hand, a subaru outback/wrx will get good gas mileage, but have like 0 towing capacity and may suck to drive with a trailer.
-also, does anyone know if there are good sledding spots in the PNW? I'm mostly looking at a sled for Utah, but I want to use it here in Washington too. When im in Washington will I not want to sled much?
-does anyone have any experience sledding in the BC and then skiing? any tips or something?
thanks guys

I use a sled both in Utah and Colorado for BC stuff. Your definitly gonna want a truck, trailers can get hung up easily and are pain in the ass when you need to backup if you get stuck. I used to have a legacy gt wagon with a trailer and it was awful, now I have a truck and it's ten times better.

Okay sweet thanks...
when you were in Utah, what kind of terrain could you get into? like were there cliffs and features?
just trying to gauge how bad I want a sled and how much I would use it.

To be honest, It sounds like you should probably just wait for a little while.
You can get plenty of pow in the BC access at resorts in WA. Also, there are a lot of good zones in WA, but also some of them are gnarly sledding just to get to.
Sledding isn't somethign you jut "pick up" it's pretty hard work, I think you should have someone double you out a few times before you decide if it is worth it.
Also, don't go and blow 5k on a sled your first year. I would spend 2 or 3 on your first sled and then upgrade if you really want to.
And lastly, get Ski-Doo.
