its a nice board, but super flexy. i wouldnt be doing much besides mellow riding on one. check out abec 11 flashbacks or cult classics for your wheels. be original.
go for bears. landy designs all the wheel wells/cutouts around them, so its the only logical choice. paris will give you mad bite

Check out the Comet FSM sick board...Pair it up with some randal 180's and some otangs Got this board last year and I haven't found anything better.

The dropcarve is a very nice board. I have ridden it a couple times, and it is right up there with the dervish and the NeverSummer Heist. I would also suggest you look into the new NeverSummer "Heist V2" its pretty sweet.
As far as trucks go, nothing beats the Paris 180 for style, function, and price. And for wheels, you should go as big as you can, but get solid urethane, not a wheel with a plastic hub. With a bigger wheel you get faster speeds, and bumps are not as bumpy.
