Is there a way to train to pop higher?

I'm tired of getting maybe 1/2' of pop because of my chunky '09 Anthems + boots, is there a way I could strengthen my legs for a better pop, particularly in the off season?

So is that like 20 inches or what?? How bout a conversion for us american standard folks. Doesn't seem that high, but great job anyway. I mean, I'm not trying to sound like a dick but that dude in the video just hopped like 55 inches or something on blades.
