Republicans fuck yeah! this video is fucking ridiculous, i hope this cops wife gets the shit kicked out of her, maybe it will give him some perspective for people on the receiving ed on shit like this, thats someones daughter.
If you think you're so tough, that you don't have to listen to a cop when they tell you to do something, then you're tough enough to take the consequences.
i always hate these kinds of threads because theres always the one guy who feels its his social duty to stick up for the cop
"if you ever do a single thing that a cop tells you not to, then you deserve whatever unnecessary force he decides to use."
if that was anyone besides a cop we would call him a woman beater, straight up, but because he is a cop people think he has the legal authority to ko a 15 year old girl. cops are supposed to be held to a higher standard, not a lower one.
dude, she was fucking BIG for 15... i'm surprised they didn't take out the elephant tranquilizers. if anything that was showing restraint against that sea pig.
She was walking away, had her back to the cop and was a minor. I'm sure there was a story behind the video but from what was in the video that amount of force was certainly not needed.
The girl was allegedly being removed from school on January 25 because she assaulted a male teacher and her mother, with police believing she had been drinking.
She was reportedly serving alcohol out of a water bottle to other students and was belligerent and drunk, a police spokesman said.
that was also her mom that she was fighting on the ground not some random other girl
So she had already assaulted an adult authority figure
Was known to be intoxicated
Was disobeying police orders
And was seen fighting with another person
Again, I say the cop had every justification to take the girl down any way he felt.
All he did was push her, somewhat hard, and she fell to the ground. Just because she flopped like the bitch she is doesn't really mean shit.
I guess what is really stupid about a video like this can be boiled down to a couple points.
1) Why does age matter? Age is Monday quarterbacking - at the time it is completely irrelevant.
2) These videos get a lot of attention because the anti-police crowd love them (or hate them?) to death. It is that needle in a huge fucking haystack that, to them, goes to show the police are corrupt, abusive, you name it. How many police interactions were there that day in Phoenix? In Arizona? In the country? The anti-police crowd love to ignore the good/useful/casual/non eventful shit that goes down, but will bring a video like this up time and time and time again.
If you don't run (or obviously walk away) from police after a physical altercation like that you aren't going to get dropped
nobody denied that the police perform an important public service. but these kinds a videos are popular because they have to be, the police have to know that they cannot get away with whatever they want. in all honesty, there really are a ton of examples of the police abusing their power, hell theres even an internal affairs unit just to keep other cops in check.
so these videos are brought up "time and time again" because police abuse really does happen more frequently than some would like to admit, and the public needs to monitor that shit. if a cop is doing his job right he has absolutely nothing to worry about
that happens with literally any job. People fuck up. Internal affairs is a bit like an HR department of any other company. They monitor the employees. The only difference is that we don't see videos of roy from accounting fucking up, then form "fuck the accountants" groups.
Cops are rightly held to higher standard because of their responsibilities, but they are still human.
For every 1 case of abuse, there are countless thousands of great interactions with the police. You can't bunch them all together.
I will say that this guy seemed to use a bit excessive force, but i want the whole story. If he didn't need to do it, then i hope he gets punished for it.
(dont think its the case here, but people also tend to go down easier when they realize they've lost the advantage in a fight with security/police. If they know they're going down, they'll often purposely throw themselves down harder to try to make it look like they were being beaten around.)
Sure he possibly didn't need to be that aggressive, but why should he show respect to someone who doesn't show any to him? If you want respect, give respect. If you are disrespectful, you will get disrespected back right into a wall.
