i have no real confidential shit on it anyways and i have no real enemies
even if someone wanted to hack or steal stuff, they'd first need to obtain my pc physically
and if they succeed in doing so, i can just call Dell, give em my serial number and they can trace the pc once it connects to a wifi anywhere on the world...
if they can't find it i get a new one, it's part of their anti-theft guarantee :)

Nope. I have music, videos, and school work on there. If someone wants it the. Have it, whether or nit it has a password does not keep it from being stolen, so why not save me the hassle of having to enter a password? I have the same ideology when it comes to my phone.

I actually do lock my computer even though I literally have nothing on it. It just makes me feel a tiny bit more safe I guess, that no one will take even like my credit card numbers or something if someone stole it.

Not only do I lock my sign in, I physically lock my computer in a desk with a padlock. But I keep it in my architecture studio with a ton of kids around sooooo yeah don't want this beast getting stolen.

it's cool, i understand why you do it. i just can't stand asking my friend to put the code in for me just so i can change the damn song we're playing on the stereo

what i really don't get (but doesnt affect me at all really) is why people put their text messages so they automatically come up when you get it (no "read message" button). i know i get enough secretive/inappropriate texts that that could easily get me in trouble if i left my phone out in front of someone

i don't get locking a phone. If you lose it and it's locked chances are you won't get it back too easy. If it's unlocked any decent person will call "home" or "mum" or last person called or something.

As it stands right now I use an 11 character password consisting of upper case, lower case, numbers, and special characters. I haven't broken it with ophcrack so I believe it is secure enough for the time being.

i don't lock my phone cause that's fucking pointless. i don't have anything to hide on my phone unless my parents pick it up and find boobies in the pictures folder, but even then that's no big, just some boobies.

My program in school is Computer Security, so I actually did check the strength of my password. We will be learning how to hack (ethically, not maliciously) so I don't like to leave my computer unattended, particularly around classmates that might feel like fucking my system when I grab a sandwich or something. I use Linux as well on my laptop, but it was much easier to test the password on my Windows partition. I really don't have anything against Mac, I just like the icon

I used to a few years ago when I lived with a bunch of guys, cause they kept making random porn and tubgirl my background every time I left the room. If was funny, but after a while I got sick of having to change it. Now I live with two girls, and it would never even cross their minds to fuck with my computer so I don't bother with a password.
