Rumors are that it will be released in September and not in June/July. Also, it will have a bigger screen. 2 models will be coming out, standard and pro. Pro will cost more obviously.

After my Iphone 3g having to be replaced 5 times due to hardware malfunction, I said fuck it and got a sony experia X10 on android. It's superior in every way except the app store.

i give this advise after breaking 12 phones in 18 months, 10 palm pre's, an iphone 3gs, and an omnia 2 thats why i now get cheap phones, now i have a cheap samsung and its lasted 4 months so far.

Yea I just asked a friend of mine and he said 40 for everything too. $110 a month would be $1,320 a year. There's no way any of my friends could pay that. That's more than my friends are paying for meal plans living off campus by about $400.

$40 a month maybe what they pay, but their parents pay something else. Okay. for unlimed calling its $99. Okay for $60 its 900 minutes, $20 for unlim texting and $30 for data plan.

this kids right. sure i only pay 30$ a month, but thats just me paying out of my pocket for my data. i think with my plan its around 110 a month, and my parents pay most of it. all you kids saying you only pay 40$ a month are retarded, and apparently dont know that you actually have to pay to make calls and texts on top of data. get learned

Shitty internet that takes 5min to load a page and a year to download something doesn't count as a "data" plan. They charge 30 bucks a month for smartphones since they use a shit ton of data from the internet, gps, tethering, etc etc.

A "real" data plan is going to cost you 30 bucks a month no matter what on top of 60 bucks for 450min and unlimited texting assuming you have Verizon.

4 iphones on att, unlimited data and mms, 1500anytime minutes comes out to 180ish per month, 45 per phone. family plans rule. also best part about a smart phone is you never have to use it as a phone. I use maybe 120 minutes a month of talk time.

i guess family plans are different....
all i know is that i went in to verizon to see what it'd cost me a month for an iphone/smartphone and it was like 95$ a month for 400+ min of talk time a month and unlimited data.

i also like being able to drop my phone w no worries. to each his own

Then you probably should stop owning a phone. You can give any and all excuses in the book but there is NO reason a person should go through that many phones in 18 months.. Maybe like 1 or 2 tops, but dam. You must have gone full retard.

8 out of the ten palm pre's were under warranty as the phones that stopped working without any damage inflicted. all of the others were my fault(skiing, biking, mexicans)

uhmmm no, I just got an iphone after having a flip phone for the past 5 years. I pay $15 for the data plan (200 mb a month) than i'm on the family plan for unlimited texting and then 550 shared minutes. Ends up being about $45 a month for me.

$110 a month is stupid money to be paying for a phone

for anyone bitching about iphone data plans:

you can just sign up for whatever cheap talk or talk plus text plan you want or even stay on your current family plan if you want. then u can buy an iphone 3g for under 200 bucks off ebay. pop in sim card and disable data through settings. continue to enjoy fast internet through wifi and your phone will not be able to connect to internet when u dont have wifi. paying for slow ass internet is stupid as shit wifi is so much faster. and also if u literally live in a hotspot 24/7 like me you can download a free texting app and save money on that too. and o ya dont buy an iphone through verizon because theyre entire system is run by computers and automatically detects smart phones and adds data to them.

40/mo for unlimited everything = parent subsidy / large family plan or lying. Go to at&t or verizon's website right now and try to price out an iphone with unlimited data/texts and even a small amount of minutes and I guarantee you cannot get it down to 40/mo. If you can please post a link to your selections because I am buying two.

and for a 110$ a month you hsould have a hell of a lot more than that, hes getting ripped off.

my plan is 55$ a month with unlimited texting, and my5 nationwide included in the 55$

500mb of data per month.

I'n on at&t and I have the 450, and I am nowhere close to maxing it. I have a bunch of rollover minutes, and its 450 anytime minutes. Unlimited nights and weekends and unlimited mobile to mobile. Its the perfect plan for me, as about 90% of my calls fall into one of those categories, but I could see how it wouldn't be enough for some people. Does verizon have a similar policy, or is it like 450 minutes total?

there are virgin mobile pay-as-you-go phones that are $25 a month with unlimited text and data and 300 mins. i think thats a pretty legit deal... although it is no contract so the phones cost more
