Rumors are that it will be released in September and not in June/July. Also, it will have a bigger screen. 2 models will be coming out, standard and pro. Pro will cost more obviously.

i have the 4 and i'm lovin it, the 5 probably wont be that much different besides some small improvements. usually the big improvements in the iphone occur every two years.

I have a droid x and it's a pos. The thing just fucking doesn't work sometimes and causes the biggest headaches trying to fix it. Based on my experience with apple products, they just work, and that is why I am going to switch to the iphone 5 when it comes out.

oh word, well in that case that's pretty sick. i'll upgrade after my two year plan is over, and by summer 2012 there will be some ridiculous iphone out so i'm not annoyed that i didnt wait for this one

the iphone 5 and the new blackberry are equipped with chips so that they will be able to be used as like a credit card, simply take picture of a barcode it gets updated to phone and you pay in your monthly bill, basically byebye amex, mastercard and visa in 10 years

they will do an iphone 4s this year later which will be faster and a slightly larger screen.
Then next year would be the 5 totally redisigned. Most likely thin more like touches.

There will be no iPhone 4s. iPhone 5 is next. That picture is an iPhone 5. They are going to have bigger screens and have iOS 5.

I don't really see how ones spending ability on cellular phones has anything to do with ones love for skiing. Never really like iphone, too many restrictions. Relatively pleased with my latest htc purchase though.

I tend to agree. people dont really need smartphones unless they are buisiness men or something. All I "need" is to be able to text and call. If I need the internet, I use a computer.

I would rather spend money on better ski gear/tickets instead of having a smart phone

yea srsly! It was so hard to get a nice case and keep the same phone for a few years for me! (not)
i think the people that break phones all the time are either super extreme and can't help or the more probable, just drunks that drop them in the toilet or wake up in the morning with a phone in 3 pieces not knowing how it happened too often.

Considering the smart phone I used to have just randomly broke after 6 months and a new phone was over $300 since I was not eligible for an upgrade, since you can only get one once every 2-3 years, I settled for a free shitty flip phone from my uncle that I don't need to charge every night and actually works 100% of the time.

$30 for data
$20 for unlim texting
$60 for however minutes he has. or unlim i don't know, he doesn't know.

but he pays $110 a month. Fuck that. That's why I don't have a cell phone.

So you're trying to tell me that your friend pays $80 for unlimited texts and calls? Something that I get for $20 a month on a standard phone? And that unlimited texts and calls cost $50 more a month than unlimited internet? I don't believe that for a second.


I just asked 3 of my friends who have iphones and each said $40 a month for everything: data, texts, and calls. Not sure how much data they get but it wouldn't make a $70 difference anyway.
