Why does everyone hate on salomon??

title says it all. also i heard something some guy breaki ng his leg cuz something happened to his salomon boot? this true? what happened?

I love the history of the original Teneighty and team but their skis just don't last. If they built a reliable product that lasted I'm sure the company would be criticized less. They do put on good events like jib academy and promote themselves well, but park kids generally just cant afford 3 pairs of skis a year.

Well, i really like Salomon product, but im biased, i paid my 2012 twenty twelve 350$ whit sth14. I had 2 pair of spk, salomon the dumont and dumont, salomon 3v and salomon sc. They are all in great condition and very fun. But salomon are reputated too have shitty product since 2009 ( suspect, quest boots). Salomon where tits when tey made cap ski.

My spk's are not very good, some of the bolts broke. I love the salomon g-suits, i love the designs of there skis and boots, i like there bindings (always worked for me) and most of all i love the events they do. whenever i go somewhere where the salomon freeski team is at they make it super fun, so i like salomon..... i think everyone hates on em because there skis brake easy/don't last long

i also dont understand the hate. i had some spks that were awesome then i grew out of em. Also, i got some suspects this year and they are my favorite ski i have ever used by far. Rip park and stand up really well on east coast ice and crud. after one year they're in perfect condition i love them. I mean we'll see how long they last but in 2 seasons i broke two pairs of fischer addicts and a pair of line chronics and the suspects have help up great so far.

Its not that every one hates on them. I feel like (and don't quote me on this) people either LOVE or HATE Solomon. That being said there outerwear is far from bad (water proofing and style). IMO there skis are good wail they last they don't have the best durability. There POW skis next season look really good (IE rocker 2's).

I bought this year the new pro spk boot from salomon, i rode them for a couple of weeks nothing going on everything was fine. after a few weeks the leather that the boot is decorated in came a bit loose after a while i had an entire flap hanging out, went back to the dealer and they contacted salomon. they had some of these cases before . Now this i wasnt expecting , they offerd me to pick any othter boot in same price class, and the best ting is i can choose when the new season starts so even can pick from new models.

So this thing here made me pretty found of Salomon. aint going to switch in a while , good customer service.

The main reason, though I have a number of others:

Their shitty-ass bindings broke during normal use and nearly killed one of my best friends. It was a known issue with the binding it turns out. Fuck them. Their shit sucks ass quality wise and anyone who disagrees isn't skiing hard at all.

They have great marketing with jib academy, and all the big events they sponsored. The outerwear looks great, but isn't the best for the price. The skis though have gone to shit. Suspects, Newer versions of dumont, pro pipe ,all skis that have fallen apart. Quest boots incidents did not help there rep either.

Their skis aren't durable (broke one pair and never went back). My buddy broke 3 pairs this season. Their bindings always come out of adjustment, wings and forward pressure (FKS' bomber). I do like the look of the Rocker 2 though, might have to check that out.
