Meniscus repair recovery

I had about the worst meniscus repair possible and im not gonna lie it was hell. Much worse than my acl surgery. Hopefully yours is not as serious as mine, because it really depends on the severity. For me it was about a week without getting out of bed/couch and not being able to sleep for more than 3 hours a night due to the pain, then about a month until I could walk, but i was skiing after about 4 months. To tell you the truth it almost made me go crazy when I couldnt sleep at night and my leg was just killing me, so just try to stay positive.. My second meniscus surgery when they just took it out was like a 1 day recover and I was back doin stuff, so it really does depend. Also, DO NOT take your brace off. I tried to take it off the first night because I felt like I could sleep better with it off, twisted my knee wrong, and ended up throwing up all over my floor from the pain/meds.

yo man i have that same surgery March 8th 2009. i was jogging by mid April. felt good in June and near 100% towards the end of the summer.

i only got it snipped tho, just got the flap or whatever cut out no repair so i guess the healing time was a bit faster.

but i play run on my college track team so 100% for me is different than 100% for someone else nahh mean?

im thinkin if ur just lookin to feel decent.. id say by mid may according to my timeline..

im walking around now. the surgery was 3 weeks ago today, i just cant bend it at all. positive vibes.
