Sick of seeing another big jump

Hey Ns,

I just want to say that I probably will not be buying any ski movies this year because truthfully I am just really sick of seeing these stupidly big jumps. I want to watch skiers hit a jump that I can relate to not some unrealistic video game 100 foot monster cock of a jump.

Plus these sessions just turn into hucked shitty looking trick sessions and I would way prefer to see stuff go down on a smaller jump. I always see people on Ns saying that they would much rather see a steezy five, so why not build a jump that people can only do fives on! The solution is so simple. Leave the big jumps to competetions and the real jumps for movies!

I pretty much want to see tricks like this on was smaller jumps so they are harder for the skier to do

i agree. every big jump session is the same thing: no movement cork 3, cork 7 blunt, kangs, dub 10/12, and maybe some new hucked dub variation. plus, half on ns cant relate to jumps that big in the slightest, i personally get bored as shit watching them hit the same giant jump, where if its a smaller jump i can relate to it puts the tricks into perspective

I have to disagree with you... because big jumps are fuckin awesome. There is no question that bigger jumps are essential for the sport to progress.

That said, I have noticed a little bit less footage of regular parks in movies. Not very many small jumps, not many park rails, almost no boxes. Instead its huge kickers, urban rails and even parks made specifically for pro shoots. That's all cool, but I understand what your saying when you say we want something to relate to. Doesn't mean less dope tricks, but just more comparable features to what were hitting.

level 1s volcano jump was cool but i would like to see runs through real parks where the pros hit rails jumps and boxes that normal skiers can hit, just they would do crazy tricks.  i see more of this in edits in movies its always the superpark stuff

If I wanted to see tricks on small, average-sized jumps or on some non-special rail features, I could just go and watch kids ski at my local hill and that's what I do already.


I don't want any damn runs in a ski movie, that belongs in an edit. I want high-calibre stuff if I have to pay top dollar for it. Something exclusive that I never see anywhere else.


This just goes to show that it's absolutely impossible to please everyone.

I don't watch professional ski movies so I can relate to them. I watch them because it's something I don't have the chance to hit often/ever or it's a trick I don't see much.

If I wanted to watch people do steezy 5's on small jumps I'd just watch video of myself all day, or sit in the park and watch 1,000 13 year olds do the same easy ass trick.

there are tons of short movies where pros hit rails and jumps in regular parks... they're called edits, and if you click the videos button at the top of the page you can watch some.

if thats the case then just cuz the biggest thing MSLM has ever seen has been like 60 feet doesnt mean it isnt gnarly as fuck to watch someone hit something 100 feet +

the people that are gonna huck will do it regardless of jump size, id love to see something super style-ey of something that huge. a 360 off an 100 footer would be floaty as fuck. it gives more room for progression bigger jump = bigger trick
