Skrillex.. Is it worth it?

Today i realized that skrillex is touring not too far from me, I have never seen him live and I would rather not waiste my money if his live performances are'nt anything special. I have appreciation for his music but it seems that he uses a repiditive sound a lot more than any other artist i've been following recently.
So the question is.. Save up for a Camp Bisco ticket or spend another 25 dollars to catch him live?

Who has seen him live before?

To each their own.

I prefer to go to a performance that I couldn't duplicate by playing an itunes playlist of at a house party. A good DJ will read the crowd and make a unique experience. That's what I pay for. I'd much rather go crazy to a mix if I know the guy at the booth is actually creating the vibe at that moment, not just standing and watching and pressing a couple buttons to trigger the identical playlist he played the night before.

Guess everyone has a different reason to go to shows, just know yours before you decide whether it's worth it or not. The show that this thread is about probably already happened anyways.

Just saw him last night at Starscape. Amazing show. I guess the crowd has a lot to do with it, too. But, nonetheless, amazing time.

yep. definitely worth in imo.. he absolutely killed it at starscape... i didnt want his set to end but flux was right after and equally dope..

Hey guys, i don't mean to bump this thread again but i just wanted to add sometihng. Before i was skeptical about going to see skrillex but let me tell you he threw it down hard the other night, it must've been because he was FRESH out of starscape! But to be honest, i think i had more fun with the opener Paper Diamond from Pretty Lights label, the background visuals were more intense for the "trippers" and he covered most of excisions X sessions, datsik, rusko, and doctor P's new shit!

Conclusion: The ticket was well worth the 25 dollars, and if you enjoy a hyphy ass crowd of people skrillex is in your best interest.

his new album dropped yesterday.
more of the exact same stuff...i guess you can take that as a good thing or a bad thing. i don't like it but each to their own. it's on beatport right now and dropping on itunes in a week or so.

since EDC i pretty much can't stand hearing a skrillex sample.
everyone was playing his god damn repetitive music and it was driving me fucking crazy. even benny dropped his shitty remix. a travesty i tell you.

Ottawa Blues fest? Yeah, I was there. Crazy good show. In fact didn't he himself say it was one of the best that he has played at? Either way, wasn't expecting the crowd to go that crazy. So for anybody thinking about it, it is very worth going to see him live.

Seriously I see what you are saying, and it definatley is true that he must say that about many concerts, but the show really was very crazy. And I have been to many concerts in my life. The only other show at which i have been to, where the crowd managed to break down the barricade was Slayer. So, yeah, that does say something there.
