After effects tutorial!!!!

Looking for a tutorial on how to make the text blend with the video footage. For example when someone walks by the text disappears or the subject walks right past it as if it was actually in the shot.
Any links handy?

my film class final last semester was a nightmare with ae. was about a 2 minute video with a few greenscreens. after all was said and done, i probably spent no less than 20 hours in ae. horrendous.
