Hunterdon County here too, Clinton. We got some hills, slammin' weed, and are 45 min to an hour from Philly or NYC. heres a hill next to my house:

i dont care what anyone says, New Jersey is a straight shithole. My grandparents live in franklin lakes in a big ass house, in a nice neighborhood. Even that town sucks. Literally everything about jersey is awful, from the shore, to the inner regions of it. Iv been to a lot of jersey and its all terrible. Yea the people are nice and not all like the jersey shore, but i cannot see why anyone would want to live there. The only way id live there is if i was making a shit ton of money or it had some rediculous benefit compared to other areas.

Franklin Lakes is for The Real Housewives type of people. The Gladstone/Tewksbury/Clinton area is infinitely better.

Where I live you go from million dollar houses and farms to low income housing and apartments in a matter of 2 miles. Its interesting to say the least.

that's pretty interesting haha, up here it's similar since we have some rich towns and then you have Paterson. We're missing those farms but we still are 10-20 mins from the city.

haha the town i live in is a fairly well off town but if you cross route 36 and enter keansburg its pretty much full of crackheads and hookers past 11 oclock

Alright, I've been living in Newark for about 4 years now, and it's pretty chill. There are parts were you obviously don't wanna walk around with your headphones on and looking down at your phone, but honestly I really enjoy skating around the nicer parts. That being said, there is SOOO much to do in NJ that it really makes it an awesome place to grow up. Aside from CA, where else do you have beaches, ski mountains, woods, lakes, rivers, major cities, and countryside all within a 1 hour car drive ? Love it here.

Grew up and went to high school in Bergen county, NJ, and now live in san francisco. I gotta admit, I do prefer lake tahoe over mountain creek haha.

naw i actually think jersey shore is pretty funny. and i dont hate people from new jersey (well except for those ones that you guys probably hate way more), it's just one of those things that's fun to make fun of. you didnt give the reaction i was looking for so fuck it!

I live just out side Philadelphia, bout hour and half from the jersey beaches. The shore is a blast in the summer esp if you know someone with a house down there. Get drunk on the beach all day and water ski and tube then come back to the house and grill, cant beat that.

im from the belmar area sorta. about 25 30 minutes away but dont surf. Im not a beach person and people always think its wierd since i Live 25 minutes from the ocean

Middlesex anybody? I'll be around the shore somewhere along 18 south this summer though, if anybody surfs we should catch a few wavvvvvvvves. Bout to pick up wetsuit and get in the water as soon as finals are done My school gets out so late...

ANd whats wrong with jersey? We have hills with snow on them and an reasonably warm ocean, unlike that pacific one over there.

not at all....I live in westchester county new york. And i have to say its so much nicer overall. New Jersey just has terrible atmosphere to live in. I dont have a vendetta against my grandparents and I got a fucking awsome bday present from them. I dont care if they live in a giant mansion, new jersey still sucks ass. I drove through jesrey to pennsylvania in allentown over the weekend, There is such a noticeable difference when you enter jersey, and exit jersey. They dont call it the buthole of america for no reason. It clearly gained that reputation for a reason. And i dont live in wayne because i prefer my town to not get retardedly flooded out every year.

So did you only experience Jersey from driving through it and visiting your relatives? How could you determine an atmosphere of somewhere if you've only visited?
