Apparently this just happened. Obama is planning to deliver "Unusual Sunday Evening Statement."

It was supposed to start at 10:30. and says beginning shortly right now in the live video. Im waiting to see if this is true. Heres the link to the video

just got back from the biggest sober gathering of my life.

Freaking ISU blew up central campus with like 6000 students all waving american flags and shit. We then pretty much paraded through town and down the streets, cops didnt do shit and blocked off the street of cars for us.


3 hours of epic celebration = good fucking night

i don't really understand you americans, maybe someone can explain me ur way of thinking!
it's good that hes dead of course but: do u think killing one guy ends all terrorism? do u really think osama didn't expect he gets killed one day (prolly he expected it much earlier than it actually happened) and didn't prepare his terror organisation?
it looks like everyone is partying lin america like they've won world war 3 or something!
i seriously hope security gets better, specially now. but it seems like some americans really think that all danger is gone now!

We know that the danger is not going to all of a sudden disappear, its just the fact that the face associated with 9/11 is gone, we finally found him and got him. All I can say is its a great fucking day to be an American. U-S-A !!!!!!!!!!!

thx for the explanation! it just seemed to me that half of ur pupil now think that all danger is gone! i just think that whole thing is a bit overrated cause actually u made him the face of 9/11 and i think there are some bigger guys hiding behind that OSAMA BIN LADENs picture!
i'm happy for sure, but would be better to have him allive to torture him :D

Holy hell a nine pager in the span of 8 hours. That's pretty legit, considering it was night time for a lot of us. But seriously, I love the conspiracy stuff with the American government....it's pretty interesting to me, but can't we all be happy with believing the truth? It's a fucking huge deal, a lotmof work has paid off and it's a cause for celebration. Fuck yeah, Canada's neighbor.

Well Im thrilled your not defending his actions. However its just my opinion that I think he should of been tortured cause I believe justice should be brought in brutally when dealing with terrorism. We gotta scare them in some way or another, why not show them what will happen to them if they get caught? All killing them does is fulfill their prophecy, they wanna die a martyr and when we kill them all their terrorist buddies believe that they just died a martyr. Wouldn't that just give them even more motivation? If we wanna win this war then we need to find a way to break their motivation.

as a civilized country, you dont choose when you follow human rights and when not.

what else differentiates you from terrorists? terrorists dont obey human rights and kill/torture whenever they think they can achieve their goals with it.

if you now use the same methods, there should be someone else around to capture you and torture you because youre no better than the terrorits.

Whenever I think of U.S. navy seals I think of Socom and how they go in ridiculously out numbered and it's rare if 1 of them dies. Kinda sick how stealthy they are.

I think America needs to go all out for the next week and mess the rest of the group up before they have time to organize.

Steven Harper said that the death of Osama bin Laden "secures a sense of justice for the families of the 24 Canadians murdered" and said that "Canada receives the news of the death of Osama bin Laden with sober satisfaction."

Sober my ass... It's the NHL playoffs, even with only 1 team remaining in it, all of Canada's still drunk! =)

The white house has already dismissed this as fake, it was posted on the internet 2 years ago. They said that he is hardly recognizable in the photos, as a sniper round can really fuck up your face. They haven't released the pictures yet, but chances are they will.

those totals were are actually huge over-estimations, the actual civilian death total is closer to 100,000 (which still is extremely unfortunate). You also have to realize that saddam alone was directly responsible for close to 2 million civilian deaths during his reign, and osama's death toll is even higher. Stop being so narrow minded and look at the bigger picture, we took out two men who oppressed their people and killed millions. 100,000 civilian deaths is bad, but millions of people plus oppression is worse
