Park skiings gotta chill out with the 50-50/straight slide.

seriously. some people make it look really good, most people make it look really really stupid. 50-50s, switch 50 50's and shuffles in between shouldnt really be considered banger park footy(pretty damn basic tricks), unless you can smooth it out like stuff in the B&E show, and even then its a little too much at times. i hope this isnt the way rail progression is going...shits weak.

how bout do what ever you want, even if it is a trendy trick? skiing is about doing whatever you think is fun. if 5050s are fun for you then do them every run. thats the definition of "doing your own thing"

ya dude! we shouldn't do anything unless we can make it look as good as the pros! the parks would be pretty empty if we could only do tricks that were as stylish as the pros.. Henrik never had to progress right? he just started skiing and was magically gifted with steeze and boom! B&E was born

correct me if im wrong but i think OPs point is about creativity. freeskiing being 'free" and everyone is doing the exact same damn thing because a few homies brought it back. If freeskiing was so creative then not every kid would be doing 5050s with a slight lean on wide ass boxes. wooord up Op

I think I did one of the first 5050's back in 2002 at a newschoolers jam at kissing bridge, NY. Matt Harvey has the footage.

5050's are pretty much like ordering a cheese pizza. Takes lil skill.

and to clear it up i'm not telling people how to ski, just telling them to stop thinking 50 50's are a suitable substitute for real tricks in an edit. cause i know you all love watching filler...then a 50 50...then a gang gesture...followed by a 50 50 to switch 50 on a two foot wide box. props bro!
