Sarcasm aside, yes. It would get old depending on who you are.

It's not like you can just add these connotations to professional skiers to be and feel what you>/i> want. They're human, Dumont is a competitive madman and I'm guessing he can do whatever he wants now. He's been doing PBP shoots for 8 years now, you'd think they would get a little old.

Maybe he can't handle the pressure of pushing the sport forward on bigger and more gnarly stuff. I reckon a little break would do him a world of good butif he wasstill moaning after that he can just gtfo because some of us CRAVE TO GO SKIING 24/7!

I'm not Dumonts biggest fan, but this is completely normal, surely everyone has days when they don't want to ski? I'm obsessed with skiing, my life literally revolves around it, but sometimes, I just don't feel it, I'd be shocked if pros didn't feel the same sometimes.

I think the post about losing the running race has a very valid point. when you train all year, every year, for the past 8 (not sure) years, you expect yourself to win. and not winning is just heartbreaking. and on top of that, simon by nature is a VERY copetitive guy, watch transitions as proof of that, so when he doesn't win he will be mad and dissapointed in himself.

Anything, specifically regarding the topic of the post, can become stagnant. Even if it's a passion, sometimes one of the best things to do is take a step away from it.

Haha, but to put this in an analogy that the hating 12 year olds* can comprehend... Imagine eating your favorite candy everyday. Not only would you have a cavity, you'd probably be fiendishly thinking about another type of sweet.

Simon could save a model carrying a basket of puppies from a burning building and kids on here would still find a reason to hate on him.

And just so it's clear, after a long year, tons of work that benefits all skiers, too many contests, some huge slams trying new tricks, etc ... Simon absolutely murdered that jump and the park all day Thursday...landing on his new dub is ridiculous. And don't forget that the rest of the crew (Sean J, Paul B/B Paul, LJ, Clayton, The RIzz, Bob-Man, Kolby, Martini) went mental—it was probably the best day shooting jumps I've ever had.

well, i guess even skiing on pro level, getting paid and all that, it's still like a work. you must do alot to keep in the top, guys are pushing for triples, that gives you man lots of pressure. I don't want to see any more dumont hate threads. cmon,

Could be issues in his life right now that aren't skiing related. He still is one hell of a skier and one of my idols, though. He still will remain one of the best pipe skiers ever.

haha wow so many ignorant people in this thread. he is a better skier than probably 90% of people in this thread. you dont get that good over night. years of hard work, training and practice.

i used to hate on simon during dew tour when he would act like an ignorant ass hole and give short, obnoxious interviews but jesus christ guys lay off of him. we all have bad stretches in our life whether is skiing or something else more personal, granted whatever is going on in his life probably should be made public to facebook.

just like posted above, he isnt paid to cater to your guys ever demand. he is paid to fucking ski and enjoy doing what he loves and because he is fucking good at it whether he wins comps or not. he consistanly podiumed in almost all of his events this year, being that they were fucking major events with dew tour, xgames, etc...lay the fuck off and chill out its his life let him live it and worry about yourself.

so, there are plenty of times where people, including myself, have no motivation to do anything let the guy be. Maybe instead of bringing him down more give him some good words and vibes to get him motivated no reason for us all to be butt hurt because he is down
