I'm not going to get into a fight with you guys but its his life, hes not obligated to entertain you or be stoked all the time. He worked hard for wheres he at now, its not like it was just given to him. Be a little more open minded and stop hating on the guy so hard.

Very good point. But his attitude is very consistant.. He's getting paid to ski, getting paid to do what everyone here loves. There's a reason for this hate, and he has the power to stop it. But he still rather be a little butt hurt. I'd have a lot more respect for him if he had a positive attitude, and especially a positive attitude towards skiing. For now, he's trash to me.. I'm done.

How do any of you know that it has anything to do with skiing?

Maybe he just got some bad news about a family member or friend? Maybe someone just got broke off on the jump, and it ruined the stoke for him. Maybe he's just fucking hungover.

Like someone else said, since when is it his job to be stoked every single day?

This is true, but he worked hard and dedicated his life to skiing to get there. No hate, but people who say "Id kill for your job, your so lucky" irritate me a little. If you really wanted it that bad you would actually try and achieve your goal instead of wistfully dreaming about it. Theres a reason he is a pro skier and you are not(not directed at you, just everyone in general)

stuck up, skiing is fun, sessioning a jump is fun if you like skiing  , hes been in the game for a while, but cmon you prly get paid bank to get shots, idk how much or if you get paid but it seems like the dough has been flowing and will be flowing  if its kept up, good luck, i wouldnt pass an opportunity to go session a perfect jump with a bad ass film crew

that said, WHO THE FUCK CARES? its his life let him live it. There are a lot of people who are devoted skiers who are more than ready for summer to come. and to the kids who posted on the dumontts page: i bet you feel like a little badass being able to talk a little shit to a former idol...and in your mind celebrity.

Not a lot of people in the history of the sport have been in as many contests/part of as many park film shoots as Dumont has. He's been at this shit for a long time and if he was feeling unmotivated for ONE DAY AT THE END OF APRIL then it's pretty understandable.

Idk, no hate but I've felt like quitting running when I've lost races after trying my absolute hardest. It's really painful to put everything you have into something and then fail. And then when the disappointment goes down a bit, the resolve to improve replaces it and you work to make yourself better. Maybe he shouldn't have posted that on Facebook, but that's another issue I have with today's day and age, damn constant updates on everyones life.

You never know, perhaps he's not motivated because through the constant work and effort, it has lost it's fun. Or maybe something happened with a family or friend. Who knows. Either way, no need to hate.

A lot easier to say when its not your career. Watch MLB, NBA, etc stars when they lose. Rarely are they great winners, they usually troop off to the locker room looking bummed out. Of course they do, its their JOB to win. Just like its Dumont's job to win pipe contests.
