are these skis ridiculously massively heavy?
I'm 178 tall, 180lbs... I bought the 178 to give me versatility and caus I generally dont like small skis. Mostly I ski rails because I am from the UK and there is nothing else really to do.
So far what I can tell is this:
Pros:
Literally the most ridiculously easy and fun ski to cruise around switch on.
Will destroy crud and power through shit snow
Hold an edge on ice
Super strong and stiff
Will give you great calves if you intend to ski rails lots with them...
Cons:
Massively heavy (like skiing with a clone of Oprah [when she was fat - is she still fat or has she gone thinner again?] on each foot) - genuinely I pulled a muscle in my ass cheek popping a 2 onto a down bar tonight - they are so so so so much heavier than my old skis (176 Rossignol S4s and 178 4frnt TNK's)
Mounting position is slightly too far back (feels like they have a weird spin weight)
De-Lam really easily.
Has anyone else found this? Or have I just been shaftet again like that time I bought those Anthems where the bases turned to carpet after 5mins of skiing no matter what I did to them (professional service, race wax, normal wax, basegrind and structure etc etc - couldnt fucking believe it - and caus I bought them on an end of season deal and had skiied and serviced them to try and fix the problem I couldnt take them back....
