not at all sir. i was unaware there was recent human loss due to a tornado. I just seen the pic and thought it was funny. actually a tornado ripped through my city like two weeks ago destroying alot of stuff. I know how serious and scary they are. im not really trying to shame you OP, its just stuff like this aggravates those of us who watch the news and care about humanity. Its bad enough that the news is mostly talking about shit like obama's birth certificate; it sucks that not many people realize that this was possibly the second deadliest tornado ever.

if you watch the videos of the tornados and tsunami etc, you will realize how insensitive and ignorant americans can be, especially if they have never been through a natural disaster.

...im saying that its appalling to me that the news rambles on about obama's birth certificate, while everyone in the world forgets about the japanese nuclear reactor and their continuing rebuilding efforts, or our war, or anything else you can think about, INCLUDING THE TORNADO.

and a natural disaster that killed ~300 people is most definitely terrible. Think of other events that have violently destroyed tremendous amounts of property and killed that many people recently in this county. I have no idea how you cannot qualify it as a natural disaster of pretty high order.

I actually found that picture rather funny.

Why people are getting so butthurt is almost beyond me. Sure, the country hasn't had this many fatalities from tornadoes in decades. Not only are there deaths, but immense destruction that most people unaffected forget about.

Why do people make threads about cars, car jokes, what have you, when tens of thousands of people die in car crashes every year? I'm just throwing it out there for context. ~300 deaths and butthurt vs 40,000 deaths and crickets.

This degenerated into something weird, the argument is more between me and the retard that couldn't read what I wrote. I agree, you can't walk around crying over every death. I know; I work in an ER.

I do stand by the fact that I think that one of the reasons the world is going down in flames is because in the end, in some way or another, people are saying "shit happens", and they wash their hands of all responsibility.

I could write that up any way you could possibly imagine. Healthcare, global warming, violence, famine. Im just saying that 1st world apathy is what is most infuriating in the context of the worlds problems. I don't have solutions. But for fucks sake, instead of William and Kate and Obama's birth certificate, lets talk about our soldiers in Afghanistan getting the fuck blown out of them over nothing, or the nuclear reactor crisis that CONTINUES, or yes, the tornado.

I mean what I say. I picked/am pursuing a career helping people because I want to. I volunteer. I donate money. Im not calling attention to what I am doing. Im just saying, at least I care. There are millions that walk around that deliberately ignore what is going on around them.
