New Skis

I am 13 5 ft 5 in 103lbs and am looking in to getting new skis for 2013 (i will grow). I know this is way to early to think about then but I know there are sales now and 2011 skis that wont be around then so i thought i would start looking.

I am from Massachusetts, I ski mainly park and in park i prefer jumps but rails are good too. I also need to ski all mtn and pow when i go out west (for 1 week) or on pow days. I also skied a little urban this year but hardly any and may ski more later.

Right now i own 149 K2 bad seed 2010s which are good but getting small. They are decent in park and are the best kids pow/all mtn skis out there. I need an adult version of these that is more focused on Park and Rails but is good for pow as well. When i saw the salomon 2012s i was hooked but i have read mixed reviews here on NS. I want a durable ski that can be slightly expensive if it lasts 2 seasons. I am a good park skier(for my age) and enjoy skiing powder and all mtn if i can. I ski urban and in my backyard/turf setup but not as much.

If you know about the SALOMON 2012s or ANY OTHER skis that are right for me please comment below.

k2 revivals seem pretty fit for you good on rails and jumps can hold up in prettty good in a little pow but i mean how much do you get in Mass really( i ski there too) skis very good on grommers and in some pow as i said very good ski. I have the 10/11 model message me if you have any questions, btw where do you ski in MA?

check out the rossignol s4's or the armada ar7. both very good all mountain park skis. you will grow into them for 2013 for sure.

Actually, this is completely thread worthy, and he gave a pretty good description too...I'd call this completely thread worth.

So, you're looking for probably a mid-170s ski, stiff enough for jumps, but still fun on rails. Some things that come to mind are 174 Rossi S4 (nice and stiff for jumps, but still super fun on rail, really fun to carve around on, but a bit skinny for powder...but it could do it). If you really want something that can do both, look at K2 Revival (stiff, fun to carve, 90 underfoot and rockered), or the Line Chronic Cryptonite (92 underfoot, stiff, and super fun all over) or even something wider like the Rossi S5 Jib would be fun. If you really want the true all over the place ski, look at the ON3P Jeronimo or K2 Kung Fujas.

As far as the 2012, I wasn't really impressed by them when I demoed them, the just weren't responsive enough for me.

Thanks for the info, I mainly ski at Sunday River actually(in maine) but when in Massachusetts i ski either blue hills, nashoba or maybe wachusett but i try to ski up north more

just as a comparison, my s4's ski better in pow than my afterbangs any my buddys walls.

I'd go k2 revivals, although they may be a bit stiff for someone who only weighs 103. Another good bet would be the solly 2012, as long as ur not banging them on rails that much, but i thought it was pretty fun and poppy without being very stiff. Basically anything in the 90 underfoot range with a medium flex is going to be right up your alley. I chose those two, because the rocker on both of those will give u a little bit more versatility.

what do you guyz think about the volkl bridge or ledge cuz they seem pretty sick and also the 2012 ski K2 recoil. As well as dynastar skis lineup. I also saw some reveiws of bad Salomon skis durability can anyone verify for the 2012s

wonderin about corerupt are they shit or what? they are cheap and look sweet. just wonderin if they are good. also wonderin about the 2012 version of the ar7s cuz they are durable fast good for all mtn and more. thanks in advance.

i have the volkl ledge too not so great in pow, great all mtn and in the park it is pretty stiff too message me if you want details or have questions

Agree with the guy when they say K2 revival and Rossignol S4, they both are brilliant for what you want and I think they should be your main choice. I know that both are very  good in park, but Revivals are little be better in Pow. If I were in your shoes, I would go for Revivals, but You can check Volkl Bridge's out too. I know nothing about 2012's. My friend has just bought them, but could not try them on snow. in a word 2012 seems pretty good, but you should ask the owners or someone who really knows it's advantages or disadvantages.
