Down Jackets/ Spyder down jackets

Hey im looking to get a 10k Spyder down jacket (the echo) from another NS member and I have a couple questions about spyder down and down jackets in general since I have never owned one.
How well does spyder/ spyder down hold up in normal mountain conditions (snow/ wet snow)? Does it get wet easily? does it rip? What is the quality like in general?
and as down jackets go in general (when they are waterproofed) how well do they hold up in normal mountain conditions? (snow/wet snow)
sorry, that might sound a little confusing...all help is appreciated.

I have a Spyder down jacket that is rediculously waterproof. Its a great jacket...super warm when I want it to be, cooler when I dont. Down does a very good job of regulating youre temperature, and because of this I own numerous down garmets. The only thing that I would change about my Spyder jacket is to give it magnets or snaps instead of weird ass buttons on flap that covers the main zipper, and have zippered pockets.

I don't have a spyder down jacket but I have had 2 Armada down jackets. I've loved them and they differently work great. You never seem to be to hot but you never ever are cold either. My only complaint is that they can get heavy when they get wet (I'm pretty sure mine is only 5k though).
