It may be just me, but judging in slope or big air runs should be a little more fair like noticing the insane and ill tricks that e'dollo and BDOG do. They don't get enough credit in comps for the shit they throw.
If Henrik wanted to do a triple he could. If Phil wanted to doa double he could. Skiing is more about ariel shit now rather than style. Ask any other pro skier to do a blunt flip or dub wobble but they'd rather do a triple.. WACK!
I don't understand the point that you are making. Judges should give them more points for less technical tricks because they choose not to do them even though they probably could? Thats not a strong point at all.
so is everyone just choosing to forget that henrik threw the most hucked sw 16 a couple years ago in a big air? b dog does his own thing but henrik still does the same dubs as everyone else, and spins just as much as everyone else.
I think the judges and the alot of people don't understand or appreciate what they're doing half the time. Judges dont seem to give a fuck if you dog piss hop, nollie, ollie or rollerblader hop on, they just see the spins, pretty hurting.
disagreed. I do not think b-dog can do a dub cork. he can probably do kang and switch dub, but his tricks are harder and get high scores than those anyways
one of B's runs at wsi was i believe a sw10 shifty double japan. didnt quite put it to his feet but still showered the whole damn town of whistler with steeze, and if that isnt tecnical enough without being a triple then i dont know what is. 100% agreement with op, judges seem allergic to steeze
He fell. That being said. Obviously B-Dog doesn't mind getting judged like he does, because he keeps skiing like he does. Maybe he isn't looking for top podium finishes all year. Maybe he is happy laying down some steeze in a seemingly spin to win contest world. Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't ski for scores, rather skis to entertain people... People like you perhaps ?
I somewhat agree, but its just like righting a test based on a rubric, you can do what it says and get a good grade, and do your own thing which other people may like more, but it's not what the rubric wants...
And IMO Bdog has created so many kids who they're "Little Bdog" because they can sit on there tails going over a flat box and has his jacket
Four years ago we were having this same discussion. We were comparing the skiing of Pep Fujas and Andy Mahre to the sw10s of Charles G, Jon Olson, etc. The other difference was everyone could speak English.
I do love the way henrik and Phil are pushing the sport but their rail tricks really shouldn't bejudged any higher. I can do trucks on rails to a blind 2 out. I can tail press. I think it looks good but isn't that hard. But their jump tricks are ridiculous. Who else can sw japical 12 wobble?
I honestly think phil and henrik get scored fine for there slope runs. The fact that phil makes finals and sometimes makes top 5's without throwing a single dub is pretty impressive.
I know people always say it but I understand why they don't judge b-dog fairly, but e-dollo has sick doubles. Is it because he doesn't do mute grabs? I don't get it.
