Longboards?

im buying my first longboard, but ive been riding for awhile now, i want something in the 40 inch range, that can take some hills and speed and carve a little bit, but not just for carving....

i was thinking the sector 9 Soul Rebel, but i am new to longboarding so i know i can afford some NS help

suggestions?

I got a kracked skulls for my first board and couldn't of been happier! It was a perfect intro board, and I still use it every now and then. I got it in a 42" length I believe with randal 2 trucks and gumball wheels. All of which are still in great shape. I currently ride a bclongboards.com Moray which is pretty much amazing. but that sounds slightly out of your price range. Also I've had my KS for over 2 years now and its still going strong.

O ya and probably a little more background, I mainly use it as a campus cruiser but I attend CU in boulder so the whole campus is on a hill. With randall trucks the board will be able to carve more than your heart desires, yet still stable enough once you've grown accustomed to them to take some higher speeds. The gumball wheels are great they roll over cracks and small rocks with ease and comfort. Plus, they have plenty of grip until you break them in then you can get them to slide. However, by that time you'll be comfortable enough to slide them. The board it self is fun too, it has a flexier ride which is fun to carve with, and makes the KS actually slightly pumpable which is a great feature for commuting/ campus cruising. Another plus I saw with the board is it has no grip tape or picture on the bottom, this allows you to customize it however you like.

I am thinking about going with the Loaded Bhangra. I have used the dancer and loved it. However this being my own first board, I am wondering what your thoughts are? I just love the size of the dancer and I know the Bhangra is smaller but, similar. Has anyone ridden the Bhangra?

Yepp. its like the dancer but smaller. Same flex. The proto i rode didn't have kicktails so i didn't like it to much, it felt kinda like a shorter version of the LBL dancer.

But i've heard good things about it. One thing is though, PRICE. very pricey. So if you have the money to drop i'd say go for it!

I tried a kids original and it was weird. I was turning all fine, went to lean in a bit more bam. trucks lean right over and stop. hard to get used to coming from a normal truck setup, but probably super fun since I ride two soft cone bushings anyway.

I have a apex 37, very for everything. Buying a devirsh next month. Buy paris truck, stay away from the original one, i dont like them imo. Orangatang wheel are good whit some reds bearing. Im on my phone sorry fpr the sintaxt

So glad Soda Factory got a mention first post, def beats all other boards anyone will post. (also im very biased). You should also check out Landy and Earthwing, all three are similar in overall style.
