summer jib party

woudnt it be sweet if a ski company or even newschoolers set up a summer jib party tour in a couple states, where kids set up their own summer jib and allow people to come over and hit it up in a party setting.

we could put the addresses and dates on the home page, and whoever wants to come by, can message the person or call, and it would be like a jam session in the back yard.

i just thought of it, i dunno maybe its a bad idea, what do you think?

i was thinking about the same thing, and i talked to levin about it, but if you think about it more, there wouldn't be as big a turnout as a winter event.

well if its about the $$ then, they could have more sponsorships, and a mini competition which will include a fee to participate, and the winner from each backyard set-up could get their video of the best trick on the home page of newschoolers or something and also recieve some promotional material from the sponsors

I think its a great idea r5tommy figure it out man, its not going to be that hard... I'm sure NS would put some sort of a link... have mad barbecues and all the other stuff... Charge $5 per person, get pros, dj's all that other shit and just have a huge party.

Are you implying that people should bring their summer jibs to a huge field, so that there will be like a mini jib park in one area, or pros and dj's going to one house to session one or two jibs? The first makes more sense to me. I'm just not sure what you are asking.

i think he was implying the 2nd one. but yea, if everyone were to bring their rails to a field it would be somewhat cool. it would be really hard to do though. let me know if this goes down

i was thinking about it being at the persons house, as a party, but youre right, it would make more sense to put them all in one area, but im not sure how easy it would be to bring some of the stuff over. either way if newschoolers agreed to do this or whatever company, it would be very fun, especially for those who cant go to whistler in the summer.

would you even need corperate backing? why not just find a somewhat steep hill, gather some kids from ns and session it. someone could bring a grill for barbaque and music w/ a car or with a stereo. what would you really need corperate sponsers for?

i was thinking more like, if more people did it, eventually there would be a jib set up near every state.
like if this got bigger, you would look through a list of adresses and pick the one closest to you.

haha, I dont think this is that good of an idea.. NS members arent going to drive a couple hours to go to some strangers house to jib on their sucky setup.. It may work in a few areas where there are tons of members living in close proximity.. I just dont think it's very practical.
