So i was just listening to Donald Trump and Anderson Cooper talk about Obama's birth certificate.

I have a couple questions
Americans: Are you serious about Trump running for president?
Not Americans: What are your feelings on trump running from an ally and enemy's prospective.


Personally i think it is incredible that are country is this stupid to even contemplate this... If trump is elected im going to go Napoleonic on him ass and strand him on an island.

Come on dude. Nobody is serious about Trump running for president. It's a thinly veiled publicity stunt, and it is getting appropriate media attention as such. It's no more serious than Stephen Colbert running for president in 2008, except that Donald Trump has a shit ton more money than Colbert and isn't a comedian. And has less supporters.

Has he said that he is going to officially run? I have not been following this at all because it is ridiculous and nothing more than a publicity stunt. Honestly, knowing nothing of his policies or anything he stands for, he is probably better than the rest of the neo-cons.

well hes obviously not some unknown candidate. ive heard him talk and recently i watched some interviews of him. hes a very blunt, straightforward person. knows how to make money in the long run. i just feel like he would be good.

still, despite his consistent bankruptcy, both financially and maritally, i still believe donald trump is smarter and far more experienced than anyone on NS, including myself, will ever be in their lifetimes.

i always find it ironic when 13-22 year old kids comment on the presidency. Even though i've studied politics for a while and will have 2 degrees in it in 2 weeks, i will still save all meaningful commentary until i have a job.

You should probably do some more googling on how little people know about what hes actually worth, aside from his own claims, which many believe are severely severely inflated. Also take a look at how many businesses hes run into the ground, including a casino (so much for the house always winning).





Also how anyone can back a person who appears to genuinely believe that the president was not born in the united states, I have no idea. That's just idiotic.

i seriously don't think the American people know what to look for in a president because we have become severely depleted of morals, beliefs and values.

So many different companies, cable outlets, internet sites, and social contacts have bombarded us with so many conflicting value sets, its hard to become unified.

Also we're all just really really dumb. I see so many kids in here using the word "platform" as though it signals political insight. Really, I don't think many people know what a good criteria list for presidency would look like.

And even if they did know what theyre looking for, they don't know how to judge the specific criterion. For example, people want "good" foreign policy. What the fuck does the average person know about foreign policy? The average person couldn't identify Waltz, Nye, Morgenthau, Kissinger, or any other influential scholar, much less discuss theory.

But then again, why should the average person concern themselves with the intricacies of foreign policy? They only need to support, not analyze. Cable news has destroyed our "middle america"

In 2010, Forbes listed him as 153rd richest in America at $2.4 billion.

And yes he claims to be worth much more than that. Especially with all of his companies. Imagine if he were to sell those companies? Im not saying hes the richest man in the world, but the man can run a business and make money.

He did run a casino into the ground. No doubt about it. But he has to have some failures sometimes. Overall hes still unbelievably successful. And if he runs for President he has to release his financial statements and we will all know his real worth. I think whether hes richer or poorer than we think doesnt make a difference. He knows how to make the money and turn it around to create booming businesses.
