Does mounting effect shin bang?

This year I've had problems with shin bang and I was wondering if where my skis are mounted had anything to do with it. The skis I used last year were center mounted, and I had no problems at all. But this year I'm using the line chronics which are supposed to be mounted back from center. And I've had really bad shin bang all year. I also used the same boots both years so I don't think its the boots. Has anyone else had this problem.

Its because you land backseat.

Landing backseat + bad fitting boots usually do the trick.
