I was too until 18 and I graduated HS, now I live in Colorado in the winter and only missed 9 days of skiing this past season from November to end of march
I'm taking one or two years off, but I may not even go cuz I think I'm just going to get my captains licsence for ships which you don't have to go for college for.
he doesnt. if he did, he couldnt ski every day but 9 days over a 6 month period. now if his response to this is "I go to Colorado Mountain College" then im sorry bro, but thats not a college youre waisting your money you should just give up and be a server at Applebees.
if he says he goes to one of the denver schools and skis at Echo, then he's also retarded because no self respecting skier would ski at Echo every day for 6 months
your a bitch, and trust me My dads a lawyer and your gonna fucking hate your job when you get older. I'd rather be living in a one bedroom apartment, doing what I love everyday. Not being pushed around by over bearing political douchebags. I wouldn't give a fuck If I worked at applebees but what the hell, as long as your living your life the way you want to. And skiing is obviously the way he wants to go.
I can get a captains liscence without going to one, people just do because it looks good on their resume. I already have a 5 ton liscence cuz I run charter boats in the summer, I just need to get a 1000 ton or larger one for a real good paying job
i have my cake and eat it to fool, skied 120 days last year out in SUMMIT COUNTY COLORADO just like our friend here. keystone, breck, vail, beaver, abaybay the whole shibang.
no need to hate little man, follow your dreams but remember, someday you will need to provide for your family.
hey man no hate do it up its a good living out on the open water. we CT kids know all about the wind and waves. im from old lyme born and raised its a career choice many a friend has taken. the sea can beckon us all.
Listen I'm not trying to bash you, but I'd rather have a middle paying job with a wife and kids and be able to ski as much as I want, and enjoy what I do for a living. I don't need to impress anyone. Have fun being a lawyer, some people like it, and they make good money.
this is what im sayin man and dont take this as preaching. im just like u and u dont even realize it. u want a job where u can make enough money to get by, yet have the free time and the expendable income to say, i dont know, head on out to tahoe with the kids for 10 days of powder.
as messed up as it is, the only way you can have both is to control your own destiny. plenty of lawyers make tons of money but have to work 70 hours a week and hate their lives. ihave no intention of being that lawyer. i intend on becoming a lawyer who sacrifices paycheck for time off. i want as many weeks vacation a year i can get.
tahoe, 'rado, mammoth, every year multiple big trips. you can only live the dream if you make the dream
As gay as it sounds, Teachers are the prime job, they make middle wage and their salary grows as they become older. Plus you get ten year and pension after 20 years, you get weekends and breaks, including summer.
Haha a teacher would suck. Tug boat captains, which is what I'm trying to go for, can make up to 500 grand a year and work on a 2 week on, 2 week off schedule.
a few people i knwo who do captain stuff work on a schedule like that for fishing. if they get a good catch they come back to town straight rollin in dollars
goddamnit bro uve ruined newschoolers for me. now i cant make threads and get people riled up anymore without thinking they are going to know who i am. i knew i should have never said old lyme. to small of a paradise everyone knows everyone
