With so much hate on judging formats lately, I was thinking...
Is it possible to make a uniform scoring system for skiing while still promoting style, individuality, and everything else that sets newschool skiing apart from FIS? ..and if so any thoughts on what it would be like?
As we move towards 2014 (pipe in the olympics) I feel that judging of newschool events will become more systematic and structured. If you look at a rulebook for USASA (and I'm pretty sure FIS is the same) there is a very specific point system. Each flip, spin, and maneuver has a certain point value... is there a way to make that flow for NS-type events that are not soul y based on technicality?
Im sure this is a bit of a repost... if so let it die
