My head measures about 54.5 cm (I know, I have a fucking tiny head) which is on the larger side of a size small, according to the Giro size chart. With the goggles/beanie under the helmet with the pads removed, what size would work for me? Also, I may want to size up and keep the pads on the sides/front/back in and only take out the top pad. This is what I did with my POC Receptor, in a size Large. Help me out, NS. huge, important, all-powerful KARMA POINTS shall be rewarded. Thanks.
My head is 55cm. I would need a small Shiv to wear it on its own but the medium is fine with a beanie & goggles underneath with just the front pad left in and the top & back ones removed.
If it helps my head is 60cm and I have a large Shiv. I wear my beanie and goggles under it. I took out the rear pad to make the goggle strap fit better though. You can always play around with the pads and even buy some spare bike helmet pads from any sports shop if you want to fix it up properly.
wait until next year's shiv comes out. i ride for them and recently got the redesigned shiv for next year. the pads go aways and a full removable liner replaces it making the fit amazing. i can wear it with a ODT yowie as a headband and goggs under or with nothing under and goggs over and both fit great. definitely wait until then. as for the size i wear a medium and have a 58 cm head
it's funny you say that; I actually am riding for Giro next year. I am asking because the rep needs to know my helmet size so he can get one sent out. That sounds sick, I'm pumped to play around with it.
Thanks everybody for helpful responses! +k TO ALL!!!11!!1!!!1!
