Cork 180 vs. Triple Flip

Which do you think should be scored higher in a big air comp?

IMO cork 1 because it's one of the hardest tricks to do and only like 2 people have done it (to my knowledge)

If you do a hand drag 180 its almost difficult not to cork it.

in 2-3 years a triple flip will be normal and everybody will be doing them in slopestyle runs both ways.

i wanna see people do air pretzels. that would beat a dub/trip IMO.

i look at it this way, how many people can cork 180 and screamin semen 5 on a 100+ ft jump? 3-5? lolos been doing both for a while. meanwhile, how many people can triple cork? 5 after this weekend on their first or second attmepts? how many can double cork 14? 20+

so which is harder? or is it that the others just never try anything outside of comp tricks?

personally i'd rather watch something that is unique to that particular skier, thats what makes watching guys like pollard, hornbeck, casabon, henrik, delorme, and g russell dope

Yea you're really not getting it...

I can "kinda" do a switch cork 180. Shit is super wack though and its basically just carving off the jump like a motherfucker. A bunch of the time though i can't uncork so I can remove my claim

exactly! i want to see a dub cork 7 it would be soo sick and would be so smooth and look slow/ flowy imo
its still sick that tri[ps are being thrown, however i dont think they will become like dubs, less will be able to stomp them and so i think dubs will stay for much longer than we think

Well tbh I don't think it would be possible to do a "cork 180" without hand drag on a jump bigger then 40 feet. The one lolo did in that edit is pretty fucking crazy, but I just don't see how it would be possible to do it on anything bigger without having a hand drag to set the spin. Or at least go into the jump sitting low.

A TRUE cork 180 over a jump say the size of JOI should be very close to a hucked triple....Cork 180's have been done by a decent amount of riders, more than 2

honestly, cork 180s are not that hard. I'm pretty sure that if you ask bobby brown to do one he will be able after a few jumps.

this. 5 people or whatever it is can now triple after one week. because they want to win comps and it is gonna become a necessary trick to have eventually.
I'm not hating on doing tricks like a screaming 5 or a 'cork' 180 i prefer to watch them too.. but i guarantee if those tricks won comps, all those guys that are doing trips would learn them right away no problem..

triple will always be scored higher, but i will personally go bonkers if i see cork 1's thrown in comps, no matter how they're scored.
